◆Abe assures A.P. help to build world-class capital
【HYDERABAD】Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the 28th November assured Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that Japan would extend full cooperation to Andhra Pradesh in building a world-class capital city.
Mr. Naidu met Mr. Abe at his office in Tokyo and invited him to Andhra Pradesh during his visit to India in January. He also handed over Tirupati prasadam and a memento to the Japanese Premier.
Mr. Abe said: “Japan will extend full cooperation to the new State of Andhra Pradesh in its development.”
○AP Govt signs MoUs with Japanese organisations
【Hyderabad】The Andhra Pradesh (AP) government on the 28th November signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI). Under this, METI and relevant governmental organisations will promote direct investment by Japanese companies to AP in various fields such as urban development, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, food processing and information technology.
The development of Japanese industrial parks in AP is also to be supported by METI and relevant governmental organisations. AP will support Japanese companies' participation in significant projects in the state, an official release stated.
