【New Delhi】The Centre on Monday agreed in the Supreme Court to re-examine the contentious issues on selection of Lokpal (Citizen's ombudsman Bill).
A bench headed by Chief Justice R M Lodha passed the order after taking the consent of the Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran.
"With regard to rule 10 clause (1) and 10 clause (4), the Solicitor General submits to re-examine the issue and final amendments in the rules and then proceed with the matter," the bench said.
The Jan Lokpal Bill (Citizen's ombudsman Bill) is a draft anti-corruption bill. Lokpal will have power to prosecute politicians and bureaucrats, from the Prime Minister down to the general civil servant. A corrupt person found guilty would go to jail within two years of the complaint being made and his ill-gotten wealth being confiscated.

○2G Spectrum allotted with PM's concurrence: Former telecom Minster A Raja
【New Delhi】Former telecom minster Andimuthu Raja reiterated that the prime minister was aware of the procedure he followed to allocate airwaves in 2008 and the decision was made on a proposal of the Department of Telecommunications after discussing it with other Cabinet ministers and the then solicitor general.
The decision was taken after "properly apprising the prime minister and taking his concurrence," Raja said on Monday, while recording his response to the charges framed against him. Raja resigned as telecom minister in 2010 and was arrested by the CBI that investigated the case.
